In Covenanting with God Pressed Thomas Manton notes, "remember the great quarrel that God hath against the Christian world and all the professors of his name is about his covenant and oath taken. What is the reason God doth visit Christendom with famines, pestilences, inundations, and wars? Because they do not stand to the oath of God that is upon them. Every professor of the name of Christ, he is supposed to be in covenant with God."

This book explains our duty to covenant with God and what that means. It also shows how the blessings and cursings of the covenant come upon individuals and nations.
