Full of applications, it makes for interesting reading.

Fairbairn elevates prophetic discussion by helping us to "look into the very nature of God, to behold in his light the laws of eternity, according to which he governs the church and the world," which is "something infinitely higher than a mere knowledge of the future" (Hengstenberg).

The sections on the Papacy and Antichrist are some of the best writing on this topic. This book is light years ahead of the modern mush and drivel that is peddled by the prophetic speculators of our day!
