The Papacy Is the Antichrist According To Irrefutable Evidence From Biblical Prophecy (FREE MP3)
"There is no other head of the Church but the Lord Jesus Christ. Nor can the Pope of Rome, in any sense, be head thereof; but is that Antichrist, that man of sin, and son of perdition, that exalts himself, in the Church, against Christ and all that is called God." - Original Westminster Confession of Faith 25:6, "Of the Church", without the unbiblical editing of portions of this text done by unfaithful post-Reformation editors and backslidden churches.
The Roman Catholic Inquisition, By Former Roman Catholic Priest Richard Bennett (Free Videos & MP3s)
"We have had constant questions regarding the number of people who suffered under the Inquisition, so we give here some historical sources. First, from John Dowling's The History of Romanism, Book 8, Ch. 1, pp. 542, 543, "From the birth of Popery in 600, to the present time, it is estimated by careful and credible historians, that more than FIFTY MILLION of the human family have been slaughtered for the crime of heresy by popish persecutors, an average of more than forty thousand religious murders for every year of the existence of Popery." The main credible historians on the Inquisition, besides Dowling himself are Lea, Vancandard, Maycock, Coulton, and Turberville. Secondly, Scott's Church History gives a few sets of numbers, with the qualification, "No computation can reach the numbers who have been put to death, in different ways, on account of their maintaining the profession of the Gospel, and opposing the corruption of the Church of Rome. A MILLION of poor Waldenses perished in France; NINE HUNDRED THOUSAND orthodox Christians were slain in less than thirty years after the institution of the order of the Jesuits (see the MP3 below, The Jesuits and the Inquisition, Roman Catholic Terrorism, Torture & Murder of Reformation Martyrs by J.A. Wylie, for more specifics about the Jesuits and the Inquisition - ed.). The Duke of Alva boasted of having put to death in the Netherlands, THIRTY-SIX THOUSAND by the hand of the common executioner during the space of a few years. The Inquisition destroyed, by various tortures, ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY THOUSAND within thirty years. These are a few specimens, and but a few, of those which history has recorded; but the total amount will never be known till the earth shall disclose her blood, and no more cover her slain." The torture chambers of the Inquisition lasted 605 years and were found throughout the nations controlled by Rome. They had their beginning under Pope Innocent III in 1203 until the Inquisition's final dissolution in Spain and Portugal in 1808." - https://www.bereanbeacon.org/.
"Take heed of all occasions of idolatry, for idolatry is devil worship." - Thomas Watson (The Ten Commandments, p. 63, on the Puritan Hard Drive)
"We must hold it as a first principle, that as often as any form is assigned to God, his glory is corrupted by an impious lie." - John Calvin (Institutes 1.11.1)
"Calvin's argument is that there is no such thing as an 'innocent' religious image. Their acceptance alone is an act of idolatry, so that as soon as images appear, religion is corrupted and adulterated." - Carlos Eire, War Against the Idols: The Reformation of Worship from Erasmus to Calvin, p. 226 (cf. Institutes, 2.8.17).
"Question 51: What is forbidden in the Second Commandment?
Answer 51: The Second Commandment forbiddeth the worshipping of God by images, or any other way not appointed in His Word."
- Westminster Shorter Catechism

There is no other head of the Church but the Lord Jesus Christ: nor can the Pope of Rome in any sense be head thereof; but is that Antichrist, that man of sin and son of perdition, that exalteth himself in the Church against Christ, and all that is called God. - From the Original Westminster Confession of Faith (1647), Ch. 25:6, "Of the Church", emphases added (on the Puritan Hard Drive). N.B. Some unfaithful denominations have removed this mention of the Pope of Rome as the "Antichrist", "man of sin" and "son of perdition" from this portion of the original Westminster Confession of Faith.
Wycliffe, Tyndale, Luther, Calvin, Cranmer; in the seventeenth century, Bunyan, the translators of the King James Bible and the men who published the Westminster and Baptist confessions of Faith; Sir Isaac Newton, ...Whitefield, Jonathan Edwards; and more recently Charles Spurgeon, J.C. Ryle and Dr. Martin Lloyd-Jones; these men among countless others, all saw the office of the Papacy as the antichrist. - Michael de Semlyen, All Roads Lead to Rome, p. 205, 1991.
The Papacy is the Antichrist by J.A. Wylie & Others (Free Reformation MP3s, Books & Videos)
Everything that Popery touches it converts into sin. It possesses an accursed alchemy by which it transmutes what is good into evil. It has taken all the commandments of the decalogue and converted them into sin. It has taken all the doctrines of the Gospel and converted them into sin; it had taken all the sacraments of the Church and converted them into instruments of sin; it has taken all the offices and officers of the church and made them agents of sin; it has taken all that is subtle in intellect, all that is brilliant in genius, and all that is noble in eloquence, and used them in the service of sin. The policy of Popery is not to deny truth; it ever acts as a Vice-Christ, as a pretended friend; its policy is to pervert truth, to metamorphose it, and make it fight against itself. There is not a doctrine in the Bible which Popery does not in appearance admit; there is not a doctrine in the Bible which Popery does not in reality deny, and the saving effects of which it does not make void. It takes what is wholesome, and by its infernal skill changes it into what is poisonous. The spiritual apparatus which God has set up for His own glory and man's salvation, Popery has laid hold of and works for just the opposite ends even -- God's dishonour and man's ruin. It is a second and greater Jeroboam who has made Israel to sin. Verily, it is the "man of sin." - Wylie, J.A., The Papacy Is the Antichrist, p. 47, SWRB reprint available on the Puritan Hard Drive
It is the bounden duty of every Christian to pray against Antichrist, and as to what Antichrist is no sane man ought to raise a question. If it be not the popery in the Church of Rome there is nothing in the world that can be called by that name. If there were to be issued a hue and cry for Antichrist, we should certainly take up this church on suspicion, and it would certainly not be let loose again, for it so exactly answers the description. - Charles Spurgeon
Great Debate! Is The Papacy The Antichrist? (Free MP3s, Videos, etc.)
Some persons think us too severe and censorious when we call the Roman pontiff Antichrist. But those who are of this opinion do not consider that they bring the same charge of presumption against Paul himself, after whom we speak and whose language we adopt ... I shall briefly show that (Paul's words in 2 Thes. 2) are not capable of any other interpretation than that which applies them to the Papacy. - John Calvin, Institutes of the Christian Religion
Christmas Is A Roman Catholic (Antichrist) Missions Strategy
By communicating with idolaters in their rites and ceremonies, we ourselves become guilty of idolatry; even as Ahaz, 2 Kings 16:10, was an idolater, eo ipso, that he took the pattern of an altar from idolaters. Forasmuch, then, as kneeling before the consecrated bread, the sign of the cross, surplice, festival days (like Christmas, Easter, etc. - ed.), bishopping, bowing down to the altar, administration of the sacraments in private places, etc., are the wares of Rome, the baggage of Babylon, the trinkets of the whore, the badges of Popery, the ensigns of Christ's enemies, and the very trophies of antichrist, -- we cannot conform, communicate and symbolize with the idolatrous Papists in the use of the same, without making ourselves idolaters by participation. Shall the chaste spouse of Christ take upon her the ornaments of the whore? Shall the Israel of God symbolize with her who is spiritually called Sodom and Egypt? Shall the Lord's redeemed people wear the ensigns of their captivity? Shall the saints be seen with the mark of the beast? Shall the Christian church be like the antichristian, the holy like the profane, religion like superstition, the temple of God like the synagogue of Satan?" - George Gillespie (one of the Scottish Commissioners to the Westminster Assembly, and one of the greatest theologians since the days of the Apostles), A Dispute Against English Popish Ceremonies, in Gillespie's Works volume one, p. 80, SWRB reprint on the Puritan Hard Drive
And next in particular, concerning festival days findeth that in the explication of the first head of the first book of discipline it was thought good that the feasts of Christmas, Circumcision, Epiphany, with the feasts of the Apostles, Martyrs, and Virgin Mary be utterly abolished because they are neither commanded nor warranted by Scripture and that such as observe them be punished by Civil Magistrates. Here utter abolition is craved and not reformation of abuses only and that because the observation of such feasts have no warrant from the word of God. - The Acts of the General Assemblies of the Church of Scotland, December 10, Session 17, 1638, pp. 37-38, emphases added (on the Puritan Hard Drive)
